What’s professional membership?

Professional membership demonstrates the knowledge and experience that you have. It entitles you to use letters after your name and is available at three levels: Associate, Chartered Member and Chartered Fellow.

How do I become a member?

If you’d like professional membership then your options include studying a CIPD-approved qualification or Experience Assessment. If you’d just like access to our services, then we’d recommend Affiliate membership.

How much does membership cost?

The cost of membership will depend on the grade of membership you apply for. To join you’ll need to pay a one-off joining fee (£40 – £70) and a subscription fee (prices start from £113).  

How long will it take for me to become a member?

You can join us immediately as a Student or Affiliate member. To achieve professional membership will take you a minimum of four months
